Today it's day 24 and the manicure is inspired by a book!

Today my inspiration was the book A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I read the book when I was about 13 years old and I loved it. I couldn't find any pictures but I remember that the cover of the book I read was pink, so I used that as an inspiration.
The story has some really stereotypical princess parts, which also inspired me, plus the sparkling stories and the imagination. I really like this book, and I will definitely read it once more.

For the manicure I used OPI Hey Baby, Smitten Polish This Is My Tiara (I just had to use it!), China Glaze Friends Forever, Right? and Cult Nails Angel Whispers. I also used some rhinestones and a nail sticker. (Thank you so much Andrea!)

#31DC2014 | Day 23 - Inspired by a movie

Hey babes! How are you?
Today it's Tuesday and day 23 in the challenge, which means that today's theme is inspired by a movie. Take a look at my manicure!

Can you guess which movie I used as inspiration?
If you guessed Monsters vs. Aliens you guessed right! My inspiration for this manicure was the costume Susan is wearing. You can see it if you click here and here.

I used Pahlish Boundless As The Dark as a base for this manicure. It's a highly pigmented blue polish with shimmer flakes in blue and green. Then I used a striping brush and Depend 223 to paint the stripe pattern. I put on a little bit of clear polish the shapes that I wanted glitter and then I used a dotting tool to place the glitters. Then I finished with top coat!

I really like this manicure, what do you think?

#31DC2014 | Day 15 - Delicate Print

Hi there! I'm really tired and I need to paint my nails so this will be a short post.
The theme for day 15 is delicate print. Here you go!

I got this polish from Christina as a birthday gift. It's actually my birthday today!
The polish is Serum No.5 Glowin' Of Eden and it's a beautiful light green polish that glows in the dark. It does glow a bit more green than the picture shows. The formula was not that great. I had a lot of problems and I didn't like it. Too bad, 'cause it's a really pretty color.

The stamp is a lace pattern from Pueen plate 28 and I used the silver polish from Depend with the number 223. Works totally okay for stamping.

Let's face it, I probably won't be able to post twice in one day any day soon, so I should probably stop saying that I'll try to do it. 'Cause there's no time for that.
I do have time for quick posts though, most of the time. So here's another quick one, which is Metallic.

I don't think I actually own any polishes with real metallic finish. I do own foils, but not a smooth metallic. You know, that kind that almost always have a shitload of brushstrokes? Not own any of those.
So, I decided to use one of my foils and studs to represent the metallic part in this manicure. The base is Rodeo Fanatic by China Glaze which Antonia gave me for my birthday last year. I don't know why I haven't used it until now 'cause it is simply amazing. Easy application, almost a one coater and there's a tiny hit of duochrome to it. I love it!
I did the triangles with a silver Depend polish, but I don't know the name right now, and the black is Nordic Cap NP12, as usual.

Hi guys! I'm sorry, this will be a supershort post. It's almost midnight here in Sweden and I haven't had a good night's sleep in a while so I'm starting to get really tired.
Day 6, violet, let's go.

I did a skittlette today. Here's a list of what I used:
Thumb, pointer and pinkie: Two coats of Lime Crime Lavendairy, stripes with a striping brush and China Glaze Light As Air
Middle: Two coats of Gina Tricot Punk and two purple neon studs* from Born Pretty Store
Ring: Two coats of Hare Pegasus

Hej mina vänner! Oj, jag har inte bloggat på ett tag. Praktiken tog väldigt mycket tid, och jag hann inte med mycket på dagarna. Visst kunde jag planerat bättre, men det är sådan jag är, lite halvdålig på att planera. Nu är praktiken iallafall slut och jag går i skolan igen. Det betyder att jag har mer tid för bloggen!
Dock vet jag att den närmsta veckan kommer vara ganska fullspäckad med plugg, eftersom jag har tre heldagar i skolan och inte två heldagar och en halvdag som jag brukar ha. Dessutom har jag LIA-redovisning på måndag nästa vecka, så det är en del jag behöver fixa tills dess.
Nåväl! Det var naglar jag skulle visa idag, galaxer i gråskala. Ta en titt!

Hello my friends! Oh, I haven't blogged in a while. The internship took a lot of time, and I didn't have much time for other things. Sure, I could've planned things better, but that's just who I am, not that great at planning. Now the interships is finally over and I'm back in school. That means more time for the blog!
I don't know how much time I will have this week, though, 'cause I will have more studying to do than usuall. 
Oh well! I was supposed to show you nails today, galaxies in grayscale. Take a look!

Så, jag hade slängt på ett lager Nordic Cap NP12 kvällen innan, för jag hade nakna naglar och behövde en snabb manikyr då det var dags att sova. Sen tänkte jag, vad kan en hitta på för skoj med det här då? Jag var inte så himla sugen på en massa färger, och då slog det mig. En svartvit galax!
Så jag gjorde precis som jag brukar, började svampa lite random med vita Nordic Cap NP13 för att sedan fortsätta med Gina Tricot Punk, Nfu Oh GS06, China Glaze Pelican Gray och så slängde jag på lite glitter på vissa ställen med BYS Crystal Daze. Stjärnor och prickar är gjorda med tandpetare, nail art pensel och Nordic Cap NP13.
Två lager KBShimmer Clearly On Top fick avsluta manikyren. Jag är nöjd!


So, I had slapped on one coat of Nordic Cap NP12 the night before, 'cause I had naked nails and needed a quick mani before bedtime. So then I thought, what fun mani can you do with this? I didn't want anything colorful, and then it hit me. A black and white galaxy!
So I did just like I use to do, started sponging on the white Nordic Cap NP13 randomly, and then continued with Gina Tricot Punk, Nfu Oh GS06, China Glaze Pelican Gray and then I slapped on some glitter in some places with BYS Crystal Daze. The stars and dots were made with toothpicks, nail art brush and Nordic Cap NP13.
Two coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished the manicure. I'm happy with it!

Hej! Hur har ni det? Jag började min praktik igår och har det bra. De är väldigt snälla mot mig på företaget där jag praktiserar. Dock har jag längre dagar än vad jag numera är van vid, vilket märks nu i början. Jag är trött och förstår inte alls hur jag ska hinna med att få saker gjorda.

Idag tar jag mig tid att skriva ett blogginlägg iallafall, woho! Jag vill visa er en väldigt vårig manikyr jag bar för en sisådär en till två veckor sedan. Jag har äntligen lyckats få till en hyfsad stamping med mina Moyou London plattor jag vann i en giveaway som Ooohshinies höll. Ta en titt!


Hi! How are you? I started my intership yesterday and it's good. They are very nice to me at the company where I have my intership. I have longer days than I'm used to though, which is noticeable now in the beginning. I am tired and I cannot figure out how I will get time to get things done.

Today I atleast took time to write a blogpost, woho! I want to show you a very spring-ish manicure that I wore about one to two weeks ago. I finally managed to do a decent stamping with my Moyou plates that I won in a giveaway that Ooohshinies hosted. Take a look!

Den fantastiska gula jag har använt som bas är Crema De Limón från Lime Crime. Den är väldigt fin tycker jag. En gul kräm som påminner om citroner och smör. Formulan är helt okej, inget jag vill skryta med men jag upplevde inga större problem. Jag tycker att den är lite streaky, så att säga, och jag behövde tre lager innan jag var nöjd.

Mönstret kommer från Moyou Suki Collection Plate 01 som är en platta fylld som ett konstverk med stämpelmönster (klicka här så får ni se!) och jag har valt att använda delarna med körsbärsblommor och fåglar. Jag har stämplat med Depend 223 och Konads dubbelsidiga "firm stamper".

Prickarna och ringfingret är gjorda efter jag topplackat de andra naglarna. Jag använde Zoya Dhara (tack så hemskt mycket Karin!) som är ett av deras pixiedust lack, ett glittrigt lack med textur. Och hur vackert är den här orangea gnistrande skönheten? Jag dör lite. Så vackert!
Formulan är precis lika awesome som Zoya brukar vara, jag har två lager över det gula, för att jag var för lat för att ta bort det.

The amazing yellow that I used as a base is Crema De Limón by Lime Crime. I think it's really pretty. A yellow creme that reminds me of lemons and butter. The formula is nothing to brag about, but I didn't have any major problems. I do think it is a bit streaky, and I needed three coats to be satisfied.

The pattern is from Moyou Suki Collection Plate 01 which is a plate filled like an artwork with stamping patterns (click here and you'll see!) and I chose to use the parts with cherry blossoms and birds. I stamped with Depend 223 and Konad dubble ended firm stamper.

The dots and the ringfingers where made after I topcoated the other nails. I used Zoya Dhara (thank you so much Karin!) which is one of their pixiedust polished, a glitter polish with texture. And how gorgeous isn't this orange sparkling beauty? I'm dying a little. So beautiful!
The formula was as awesome as Zoya use to be, I have two coats over the yellow, just because I was too lazy to remove it.

I used KBShimmer Clearly On Top as topcoat and OPI Natural Nail Strenghtner as basecoat.

31DC2013 Day 8: Metallic - Metal Studs

Japp. Jag använde nitar igen. Och jag vet inte varför min kamera flippade ur, men jag är medveten om att det ser förbaskat konstigt ut runt nitarna. Som att jag lagt på för mycket skärpa, men det har jag inte. Så nu vet ni!
Idag är det alltså metallic som gäller, och jag gick all in.

Det ser ut som att lacket är repat och ojämnt och fult, men det är det inte. Jag lovar! Vad ni ser är iallafall Nfu Oh GS06 i två lager och nitar från born pretty store.
Jag anser att detta är ett foillack, vad tycker ni?

Yep. I used studs again. And I don't know why my camera freaked out, but I am aware of how weird it looks around the studs. Looks like I put on too much sharpness, but I have not. So now you know!
Today it's metallic nails, and I went all in.

It looks like the polish is scratched and uneven and ugly, but that's not the case. I promise! Anyway, what you see is Nfu Oh GS06 in two coats and studs from born pretty store.
I would consider this as a foil polish, what do you think?

Blue Monday: Keep Calm, Skittlette On

Jag är jäkligt glad. Jag ville bara säga det. Det är mycket som pågår och mitt liv känns fantastiskt, vilket är underbart efter de tuffa månader jag lämnat bakom mig. Nu går det bra igen!
Idag visar jag er en så kallad Skittlette som lämpar sig bra för Blå Måndag. Linda har ju tagit semester, så ni hittar alla snygga blåa hos Tove istället. För er som inte vet vad en Skittlette är, så rekommenderar jag att ni spanar in ChitChatNails och hennes skittlette inlägg!

The Living Manicure By OPI

Jag kom hem från Bråvalla igår. Jag hade så himla kul även om jag spenderade hela festivalen med förkylningen from hell. Nu är jag ännu sjukare dock. Men jag har sett Paramore och jag grät som en gris!
Ni får ett arkivinlägg idag, så att ni vet att jag lever. Nu ska jag läsa ca 500 blogginlägg och bli frisk!

Idag ska ni få se en lite spännande manikyr av två OPI lack, German-icure By OPI från Germany Collection och The Living Daylights (tack Emma!) från Skyfall Collection. Båda kollektionerna är från 2012.

German-icure By OPI är ett rödbrunt skimmerlack som är så vampy och snyggt att jag kan avlida! Jag har inte alltid varit så stort fan av vampiga lack, utan det har liksom följt med när mitt intresse för nagellack växt.
Det är ett fantastiskt vackert lack, och jag tycker verkligen att alla bör äga ett. Formulan minns jag inte riktigt, men jag har för mig att den var bra.
Jag gissar på att jag har två lager.

The Living Daylights är ett glitterlack med klar bas som är fylld med lite metallic-aktiga hexagoner i silver, guld, koppar och turkos/teal. Jag såg först inte att det fanns guldiga hexagoner i, för de är så blek-guldiga så de ser silvriga ut. men i rätt ljus ser man att de faktiskt är guldiga. Jag har målat tumme, ring och lillfinger på vänster hand och pek och långfinger på höger. Lite roligt sådär!
Jag har "dabbat" (ni vet, engelskans "dab" på ett försvenskat vis) glittret i ett lager.

I came home from a festival last night. I had a blast, even though I was sick during the whole thing. I'm still sick though. But I saw Paramore and I cried like a baby! So, I got a achive post for you, just so you know that I'm alive. Now I'm going to read about 500 blogposts and get better.

Today I will show you a little exciting manicure with two OPI polishes, German-icure By OPI from the Germany Collection and The Living Daylights (thank you Emma!) from the Skyfall Collection. Both collections was released in 2012.

German-icure By OPI is a reddish brown shimmer polish which is so vampy and gorgeous that I could die! I have not always been a big fan of vampy polishes, it kinda came along with the growing interest of nail polish.
It is a incredibly beautiful polish, and I really think that everyone should own it. I don't really remember the formula, but I think it was good.
I'm guessing that this is two coats.

The Living Daylights is a glitter polish with a clear base which is filled with metallic-ish hexagons in silver, gold, copper and turquoise/teal. I didn't see that there were gold ones at first, as they are very pale and look silvery. But in the right light, you can see that they actually are gold. I've painted my thumb, ring and pinky on my left hand and pointer and middlefinger on my right hand. Kinda fun!
I've dabbed on the glitter in one coat.
Everything is sealed with one to two coats of topcoat.

Jorå. Jag är en sådan tjej. Jag gillar Twilight. Jag har varit på Twi-nights och svettats i en biosalong i flera timmar mitt i sommarn, när Eclipse kom. Och när Breaking Dawn part 1 kom, då gick vi till biosalongen vid 4 och kollade på alla filmer, och åkte hem vid två på natten eller så. Det var mysigt.

Edwards Love är ett av de fyra lack som kollektionen består utav. Men vad fasen har den för finish? Flakes kallar vi det för. Eller stora skimmerpartiklar? Glassflecks är det ju inte. Flakes får det vara! Det är ett svart lack med silvriga flakes. Oerhört fint tycker jag. inte speciellt unikt kanske, men jag gillar det!
Jag har tre lager på bilderna, men man kan nog komma undan med två. Formulan var helt okej.

Ohyes. I'm that kind of girl. I like Twilight. I've been to Twi-nights and been sweating in a cinema for hours in the middle of the summer, when Eclipse had premiere. And when Breaking Dawn part 1 came, we went to the cinema 4pm, and went home around 2am or something. It was nice.

Edwards Love is one of the four polishes in this collection. But what the fudge is this finish called? Let's call it flakes. Or is it big shimmer particles? It's not glass fleck. Flakes it is! It's a black polish with silver flakes. Very pretty according to me, not unique though, but I like it!
I'm wearing three coats on these pictures, but I think you could get away with two. The formula was fine.

Green Wednesday: Nicole By OPI "One Time Lime" + "Make You Smile"

Idag är en spännande dag. Idag startar bästa Karin Grön Onsdag på sin blogg Vacker & Underbar. Varför är Karin så himla bäst då? Jo, det är hon som startat och driver NailMail, nagellacksklubben där man kan köpa nagellack från märken som inte är så lätta att få tag på i Sverige. Ett märke per månad, alltså månadens märke, och tre förvalda paket, Edgy, Vampy och Classy, som innehåller tre lack vardera. Då kan man enkelt köpa sig tre lack utan att behöva "välja själv". Det gjorde jag första gången jag beställde, jag köpte mig ett paket, som jag tror var Edgy, och vet ni vad, ett av lacken jag inte skulle valt att köpa egentligen, men som fanns i paketet, är ett av mina absoluta favoritlack. Självklart kan man välja själv vilka lack man vill ha eller låta bli att köpa om man inte vill ha, och så vidare. Överskottsshop finns också! Klicka här för att läsa mer!

Nåja. Grön Onsdag var det alltså. Jag slänger upp ett arkivinlägg. Dessa lacken lånade jag av Jenna när jag var där i slutet av november. Hon fick dom av mig faktiskt! Det är nämligen så att jag lovade Jenna att köpa hela Nicole By OPI's Justin Bieber kollektion om hon fick godkänt i dom där sista allra värsta ämnena innan vi tog studenten. Vips, så hade hon godkänt! Och jag blev ett antal kronor fattigare. Vad gör väl det? Kunskap är viktigare än pengar. Eller hur?

One Time Lime är inte ett limegrönt lack enligt mig, det har inte tillräckligt gul ton för att vara limefärgat. Tycker åtminstone jag. Det är i vilket fall som helst ett grönt krämlack. Det täckte på tre lager, om jag minns rätt. Men jo, det var tre lager! Jag hade klarat mig på två, om det inte var för... någonting som gjorde att jag inte klarade mig på två. Detta lacket missfärgade mina naglar så jag ville gråta. Så ni vet liksom.

Make You Smile är inte unikt någonstans. Inte är det grönt heller. Det är ett glitterlack med silvriga hexagoner och smått silvrigt glitter i en klar bas. Jag har ett lager på bilderna och fick en jätteful hex-glitterklump på lillfingret. Äsch, det gör inget!

Ni hänger väl med på grön onsdag i fortsättningen?


It's an exciting day today. Karin decided to start Green Wednesday, (that means Blue Monday, Green Wednesday, HoloFriday and Nail Art Sunday for swedish nailbloggers, almost the whole week) on her blog Vacker & Underbar (which means "beautiful & wonderful"). Karin is the best. Why? 'Cause she started and owns NailMail, a nail polish club. I don't have the energy to tell you about it in english, so I will just put a link here. Link to NailMail! So, Green Wednesday it is. This is archive post. Kind of. I wrote it today, but the pics are not from today. I borrowed these polishes from Jenna in November. I actually gave them to her, along with the rest of the Nicole By OPI Justin Bieber collection. She deserved them all.
This is One Time Lime and Make You Smile.

One Time Lime is not lime colored, if you ask me. It doesn't have enough yellow in the green to make it lime green. Or that's what I think. It's a green creme, no matter what. It covers in three coats, if I remember right. But yeah, it was three coats! I could have gone with two coats, if it weren't for... whatever it was that made me apply a third coat. This polish stained my nails so bad that I just wanted to cry. Just so you know.

Make You Smile is not a unique polish. It's not green either. It's a glitter polish with silver hexagons and small silver glitter in a clear base. I have one coat on these pictures and I got a really ugly lump of hexagons on my pinky. Whatever!

China Glaze "Skyscraper" + Color Club "Sugarplum Fairy"

Jag är arbetslös. Eller jag ska jobba imorgon och på fredag. Och den 21e, 27e och 28e december samt den 2-4 januari. Men utöver dessa dagar är jag arbetslös som det ser ut nu. Nåväl, jag ser det ganska positivt då jag var rädd att jag skulle fastna på Ringhals, för jag har inte sökt ett enda jobb sedan jag började i somras. Nu måste jag söka jobb! Kanske får jag ett jobb jag verkligen vill ha, eller så kanske börjar plugga. Det vill jag ju faktiskt det med. Vi får se!

Idag ska jag visa ännu en manikyr från innan mina naglar blev korta. Jag bar den bara ett dygn typ, för jag använde lim som baslack och dagen efter jag målade ramlade allt av. Om någon undrar varför jag använde lim som bas kan ni läsa det här! Manikyren bestod av två glitterlack, Skyscraper från China Glaze Metro Collection från hösten 2011 och Color Club Sugarplum Fairy som tillhörde julkollektionen Beyond The Mistletoe från 2011.

Så, låt oss börja med att prata om Skyscraper!
Mina bilder är lite för mörka för att visa Skyscraper, det är färgstarkare i verkligheten. Det är ett fantastiskt lack som passar att bära när som helst skulle jag vilja påstå. Det är en glitterjelly med smått silvrigt glitter i en ursnygg blå bas. Det blir ett fantastiskt djup i lacket som det bara kan bli i jellylack. Underbart!
Formulan är lite tjock, men lättarbetad, så det är inga som helst problem.

Sugarplum Fairy är helt crazy! Prismatiskt glitter i massor! Basen är klar och full med prismatiskt glitter som gör att det gnistrar i alla regnbågens färger. Bland det prismatiska glittret simmar även några typ lilafärgade glitter i samma storlek som gör att lacket får en svag ton av lila. Klicka gärna på bilderna så kan ni se det glittret.
Formulan var helt okej. Inga problem uppstod.

På bilderna bär jag tre lager av båda lacken och två lager topplack. Skulle kunna behövt ett tredje dock.

I'm not working anymore. Or, I will work tomorrow and at friday. And the 21st, 27th and 28th december, and 2nd-4th januari. But other than those days, I'm workless. I see it kind of positive though, because now I won't be stuck at Ringhals, now I have to look for another job. Maybe I'll get a job that I really want, or maybe I'll start studying. I actually want that to. We'll see!
Today Iäve got another manicure from before my nails went short. I only wore this for a day, 'cause I used glue as a basecoat and the polish started to fall off after a day. If anyone wonders why I used glue as base you can read about that here! The manicure contained two glitter polishes, Skyscraper from China Glaze Metro Collection fall 2011 and Color Club Sugarplum Fairy from the holiday collection Beyond The Mistletoe also from 2011.

Let's start with Skyscraper!
My pictures are a bit to dark to show Skyscraper, it's more saturated in real life. It's an amazing polish that you can wear anytime in my opinion. It's a glitterjelly with tiny silver glitter in a gorgeous blue base. There's a stunning depth in this polish that you'll only get with jellies. Lovely!
The formula is a bit thick, but easy to apply, no problems what so ever.

Sugarplum Fairy is all kinds of crazy! Loads of prismatic glitter! The base is clear and packed with prismatic glitter that sparkles in the colors of the rainbow. Along with the prismatic glitter there's some purple glitter in the same size, which makes the polish look a bit purple tinted. Click on the pictures and you will see that purple glitter.
The formula was okay. No problems at all.

I wear three coats of each polish on these pictures, with two coats of topcoat. Could have used a third coat though.
