#31DC2014 | Day 23 - Inspired by a movie

Green is veganBlue is cruelty freePurple might or might not be cruelty freeRed is not cruelty freePlease visit my "Animal Cruelty" page for more information -

Hey babes! How are you?
Today it's Tuesday and day 23 in the challenge, which means that today's theme is inspired by a movie. Take a look at my manicure!

Can you guess which movie I used as inspiration?
If you guessed Monsters vs. Aliens you guessed right! My inspiration for this manicure was the costume Susan is wearing. You can see it if you click here and here.

I used Pahlish Boundless As The Dark as a base for this manicure. It's a highly pigmented blue polish with shimmer flakes in blue and green. Then I used a striping brush and Depend 223 to paint the stripe pattern. I put on a little bit of clear polish the shapes that I wanted glitter and then I used a dotting tool to place the glitters. Then I finished with top coat!

I really like this manicure, what do you think?

#31DC2014 | Day 21 - Inspired by a color

Green is veganBlue is cruelty freePurple might or might not be cruelty freeRed is not cruelty freePlease visit my "Animal Cruelty" page for more information -

Whaaaat's uuuuup guuuuys? It's sunday, yayayayay! That means that it's a new week tomorrow, aweyeah!
It's day 21 in the 31 Day Challenge so this manicure is inspired by a color.

So the polish I was inspired by is WingDustCollections Breathing Under Water and it is simply amazing. It's a blue jelly with glitters in different blue hues and some brown glitters. The brown glitter gives the polish so much depth and makes it really unique. It's beautiful! I used 3 coats, 'cause it is a jelly and my nails are stained, so the polish looked a bit green in the undertone due to my yellow nails.

So when you breath under water you'll create air bubbles, right? Why not combine a bubble manicure and a pond manicure?!
I started with Ciaté Power Dressing. I applied two coats, 'cause I wasn't sure if I could use it for a pond manicure. It is quite opaque. Then I thinned out some white polish with acetone and made dots and then I used a q-tip or a small nail art brush (depending on the size of the dot) to soak up the wet polish in the middle of the dot. I did 1-3 dots at a time 'cause otherwise the dots dried too much and I couldn't soak up enough polish.
I applied another (thin) coat of Power Dressing and let it dry before I made a new layer of dots. I added a little glare-shine-highlight-thingie and finished with a top coat.

#31DC2014 | Day 19 - Galaxies

Green is veganBlue is cruelty freePurple might or might not be cruelty freeRed is not cruelty freePlease visit my "Animal Cruelty" page for more information -

Hi guys! How are you doing? It's Wednesday and it's raining here in Sweden. The weather has been cold and grey all day, typical fall weather.
Wanna see something not so grey and cold? The theme for day 19 is galaxies!

I decided to do colorful, bright and almost a bit pastel-ish galaxies this time. I absolutely LOVE this manicure. I wish I could peel it of in little sheets and save it for later. Yes, that's really gross.

The base of this manicure is two coats of China Glaze Tart-y For The Party. It's a beautiful lilac-ish purple creme with perfect formula. Then I put on one thin coat of Darling Diva Dangerous Driver. I started making the galaxy by sponging OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls randomly on the nails. I continued the sponging with Make Up Store Nicklas, Darling Diva Maxed Out, Glacial Springs and Sparkling Orchid, both from Smitten Polish. I added stars with a tiny dotting tool, a tiny nail art brush and OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

Do you like this kind of galaxy or do you prefer more traditional galaxies?

Hi babes! How are you today? I took a little break over the weekend. I needed that.
Today it's day 17 and the theme is glitter. How fun!

Okay, so I just put on a shitload of glitter polishes on my nails. You know, I'm staying at Christinas place and she's got a lot of pretty polishes, many glitters, and I just grabbed a few and slapped on some coats.
Can you guess which ones I used?

Thanks for watching!

#31DC2014 | Day 9 - Rainbow

Heeeelloooo guys! It's saturday! How fun! I'm going to play some games with my friends. Do you have any plans for this evening?
Today it's day 9 and the theme is rainbow. Check out what I did!

I made some stamping decals with Konad m61, Nordic Cap NP12 and acrylic paint. Unfortunately my acrylic paint is a bit too dark, so I didn't get the look I was aiming for.
The base is Alana Renee It's A Surprise, which is a white shimmer with a yellow tone. Looks pretty white on these pictures though. It's not that white in real life.
The glitter is Worst. Polish. Ever. by Happy Hands. This was also a birthday gift that I got from Ulrika last year. It's not the worst polish ever. It's actually pretty amazing. The applications is flawless! Too bad Happy Hands don't do polishes anymore.

I do like this manicure, even though it didn't turn out the way I wanted. What do you think?

Hi guys! I'm sorry, this will be a supershort post. It's almost midnight here in Sweden and I haven't had a good night's sleep in a while so I'm starting to get really tired.
Day 6, violet, let's go.

I did a skittlette today. Here's a list of what I used:
Thumb, pointer and pinkie: Two coats of Lime Crime Lavendairy, stripes with a striping brush and China Glaze Light As Air
Middle: Two coats of Gina Tricot Punk and two purple neon studs* from Born Pretty Store
Ring: Two coats of Hare Pegasus

Thanks for reading, see you tomorrow!

Helloooo babes! It's friday, yay! Finally weekend! Today I've been traveling around the world. Nope. I went to Malmö to do an interview with a company where I want to have my next internship (and I got it!) and then I went to Lund to meet Christina (Passionate About Polish, click click) and Emelie. We talked about the three P's. You know, polish, periods and politics! What a great day.
Today is also my third day in the 31 day challenge, so I've been wearing these nails today. Take a look!

I've been going bananas aaaall day!
I used acrylic paint for the bananas, 'cause I really want to practice my freehand skills.
I've painted my pinkie and my ring finger with two coats of Happy Hands Banana Stand, a beautiful light yellow with matte yellow hex glitter in a medium size and  matte green hex glitter in a small size plus brown shiny glitter in a medium size. Application was perfect, no trouble at all.
The other three nails have a base of Nordic Cap NP13 and acrylic paint.

I'm doing it, the 31 days challenge. I'm two days late though, but I'll try to catch up! So, from today, you'll get at least one post a day until I'm done. Or that's the plan!
So, today is my first day, even though it should be my third day. The theme for day 1 is red. Take a look!

I decided to try out the one stroke technique, 'cause I've never done that before. It was hard! And fun! And I really like it!
I started with one coat of Ciaté Dangerous Affair (that was actually my base last year too) and then one coat of China Glaze Ruby Pumps. When my nails were dry I did the one stroke flowers with cheap acrylic paint, a flat square brush and a dotting tool for the yellow dots.
I finished the design with one coat of top coat, but maybe I should have put on two coats. The glitter looks a bit rough.

Are you doing the 31 days challenge?
Let me know so I can follow your creations!

Today I'm only writing in English. I want to try how that feels. Hope that's fine with you!
It's Sunday! How was your weekend?
Today I wanted to share the second, and last, manicure from the Born Pretty Store stud review that I published earlier this week. The design is kinda the same as the Liquid Teal manicure I showed you a while ago, but this one is magenta and a little bit different. Take a look!

This manicure was made with the same concept as Liquid Teal. I used the same techniques and the same base polish, but changed two polishes, the stamping plate and the stud. I decided what designs I wanted and then I just "shuffled" the designs on my hands, so my left hand and right hand wouldn't look the same. Don't be scared to have two hands with nails that "don't match", 'cause they do match, right? I mean color wise and such.

For this manicure I used China Glaze Liquid Leather as my black. China Glaze Don't Make Wine is the magenta-ish winey color, which works great for stamping. The stamping was made with Pueen plate 57 and Born Pretty Store XL Stamper*. The glitter polish is Model City Polish Sheena Is A Punk Rocker (I LOVE Ramones!!) and the stud is the colorful stud* I reviewed the other day.

I really like this kind of manicure, 'cause they're fast and easy to do and they look awesome and classy and cool at the same time.
I topped it all of with a coat (two coats on the glitter) of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

Hej!

Hi! My giveaway is closed now and I have emailed the winners. One of the winners have answered, but I am waiting for an answer from winner numbero two.
Today I thought I would show you the first manicure in yesterdays review. I call it Fancy Riot, 'cause I think it is a bit fancy. What do you think?

Lillfinger: Nfu Oh GS06, China Glaze Nova, Impala Disco Ball.

Fast samtidigt lite tjusiga? Jag tycker det! Jag är helt klart nöjd!

Let's see if I can remember what I used for these. It's been a while since I wore them.
Thumb: Cult Nails Riot, Ciaté Magic Carpet from Mini Mani Month 2012.
Pointer: Gradient with Riot and OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, one pink rhinestone.
Middle: MBSW, one big diamond, pearls, blue and silver rhinestones that shifts color a little bit, pink small rhinestones, silver caviar beads and three colorful studs* from Born Pretty Store.
Ring: MBSW, leopard spots in Riot and Nordic Cap NP12.
Pinkie: Nfu Oh GS06, China Glaze Nova, Impala Disco Ball.

Everything is topped with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

I loved these nails. They are edgy and pretty at the same time. Don't they look cool? But still fancy? I think so! I'm definitely satisfied!

NOTE: Not all products from China Glaze and OPI are vegan.

Nail Art: Grayscale Galaxy

Green is veganBlue is cruelty freePurple might or might not be cruelty freeRed is not cruelty freePlease visit my "Animal Cruelty" page for more information -

Hello my friends! Oh, I haven't blogged in a while. The internship took a lot of time, and I didn't have much time for other things. Sure, I could've planned things better, but that's just who I am, not that great at planning. Now the interships is finally over and I'm back in school. That means more time for the blog!
I don't know how much time I will have this week, though, 'cause I will have more studying to do than usuall.

Oh well! I was supposed to show you nails today, galaxies in grayscale. Take a look!

Två lager KBShimmer Clearly On Top fick avsluta manikyren. Jag är nöjd!

So, I had slapped on one coat of Nordic Cap NP12 the night before, 'cause I had naked nails and needed a quick mani before bedtime. So then I thought, what fun mani can you do with this? I didn't want anything colorful, and then it hit me. A black and white galaxy!
So I did just like I use to do, started sponging on the white Nordic Cap NP13 randomly, and then continued with Gina Tricot Punk, Nfu Oh GS06, China Glaze Pelican Gray and then I slapped on some glitter in some places with BYS Crystal Daze. The stars and dots were made with toothpicks, nail art brush and Nordic Cap NP13.
Two coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished the manicure. I'm happy with it!

Hello there! How are you today? I'm fine, except for my damn back that hurts a bit. Maybe because I spend the weekend cleaning, or maybe I've slept weird.
Today I'm going to show you a manicure that didn't turn out how I imagined, but I really like it anyway. Do you want to see it? Yes, you do!

I'm not going to tell you about what I first though the mani should look like, 'cause I'll save that idea for later.

What you see is a jelly sandwich with two coats of Rescue Beauty Lounge Bikini Bottom, one coat of Pretty Jelly Festival and two coats of Bikini Bottom again.
I've shown Bikini Bottom once before, and that mani was a sandwich too. That time I thought that it still looked uneven after three coats, but now I only applied two before I applied the glitter polish.

Festival by Pretty Jelly was a birthday gift from Malin and it's a totally crazy polish with neon green stars, small squares and tiny glitter, white stars and hexagons, blue bar glitter and tiny glitter, and finally neon pink big squares. I don't think it's hard to get enough glitter on the nail and the stars isn't hard to get either.

After that I did a stamping with Bundle Monster BM-308 in Nordic Cap NP12 and NP13. I used a XL stamper* from BornPrettyStore (review coming in the near future).

If I'm happy with the result? As happy as you can!

Darling Diva Polish Caramel Martini

Green is veganBlue is cruelty freePurple might or might not be cruelty freeRed is not cruelty freePlease visit my "Animal Cruelty" page for more information -

Hello my sweet readers! Today it is friday, how nice! I'm back on my intership and I'm having a lunch break, so I take the opportunity to publish a post.
Today you will see a polish that I got for my birthday from Johanna who was a member of our birthdaygroup. My friend Liss picked what polish I should wear and she thought that Caramel Martini by Darling Diva Polish would suit me well. I agree!

Två lager och två lager KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Caramel Martini is a glitter polish with lots of different kinds of glitter in a white base. I can see gold, orange, copper and brown. It mostly contains hexagonal glitter, but also a couple of orange bars.
I think the formula was really good. I didn't think it would cover on two coats, but it did! And I didn't have any major problems with the glitter.

Two coats and two coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Nail Art - Crema De Spring

- Green is veganBlue is cruelty freePurple might or might not be cruelty freeRed is not cruelty freePlease visit my "Animal Cruelty" page for more information -

Hej!

Hi! How are you? I started my intership yesterday and it's good. They are very nice to me at the company where I have my intership. I have longer days than I'm used to though, which is noticeable now in the beginning. I am tired and I cannot figure out how I will get time to get things done.

Today I atleast took time to write a blogpost, woho! I want to show you a very spring-ish manicure that I wore about one to two weeks ago. I finally managed to do a decent stamping with my Moyou plates that I won in a giveaway that Ooohshinies hosted. Take a look!

The amazing yellow that I used as a base is Crema De Limón by Lime Crime. I think it's really pretty. A yellow creme that reminds me of lemons and butter. The formula is nothing to brag about, but I didn't have any major problems. I do think it is a bit streaky, and I needed three coats to be satisfied.

The pattern is from Moyou Suki Collection Plate 01 which is a plate filled like an artwork with stamping patterns (click here and you'll see!) and I chose to use the parts with cherry blossoms and birds. I stamped with Depend 223 and Konad dubble ended firm stamper.

The dots and the ringfingers where made after I topcoated the other nails. I used Zoya Dhara (thank you so much Karin!) which is one of their pixiedust polished, a glitter polish with texture. And how gorgeous isn't this orange sparkling beauty? I'm dying a little. So beautiful!
The formula was as awesome as Zoya use to be, I have two coats over the yellow, just because I was too lazy to remove it.

I used KBShimmer Clearly On Top as topcoat and OPI Natural Nail Strenghtner as basecoat.

Are you longing for spring?
And do you like the new way I mark up cruelty free/vegan and so on?

Hare Bisbee (and what's going on in my life)

Hare is cruelty free
according to their website.
Please read my
"Animal Cruelty" page
for more information.

If you've followed me through the year you know that I like to tell you what's going on in my life. Like when my stepdad left my mum, when my ex-boyfriend left me and when I met my current boyfriend. Well, I have another thing to tell you.
I moved again. And I don't really know how to write this in english. Sometimes you're in a different stage in life and you just don't work together right now (I have no idea if this makes sense at all). Well, that's kinda what happened with me and my bestie. So I moved, 'cause I thought that it was the best for both of us. So, a week ago I moved in with my sister and her boyfriend. They're amazing. But the stress after moving three times in a year is hard. I have a lot to do and I'm stressed all the time.
I cannot promise that I will publish more posts the rest of the year, 'cause I really need to rest during my time off. Stop stressing. Start over.

But I had this post in my archive so I thought I might as well publish it. And I can promise you that I will be back, as soon as possible. 'Cause I miss you, and I miss blogging. You are amazing!

This was a birthdaygift from one of my dear nail polish gals, thank you Annika!
Ah, I like this polish. Bisbee 2.0 from Hare is a fabulous turqouise polish with a lot of pretty glitter. I want to say that the glitter is yellowish golden and green, but I actually don't know for sure. It is hexagons, squares and a little bit of shimmer tho. A perfect color combo if you ask me. Bisbee 2.0 is a newer version of Bisbee, which you might understand, and comes from The First Collection (Reformulated). It's a collection with some of the first polishes that Hare released, but with new glitter, pigments and such.
I hav absolutely no problems with the application, or the drytime. I'm not compleatly sure, but I think I have two, maybe three coats. I did have some VNL tho, but with a polish this beautiful I don't give a shit.
I like this so much!
