Hi guys! What's up? It's a new week, do you have any special plans?
It's day 25 in the 31 day challenge and the theme is inspired by fashion. Can you guess my inspiration for this manicure? (I'm pretty sure you can.)

If you guessed Hayley Williams you were totally right.
I've already told you how much I admire Hayley Williams, her style and the fact that she doesn't give a crap about what people think about it, so I'll just tell you about the manicure. Hope that's alright with you! Otherwise you can just use the search function and type in "Hayley Williams" and I'm sure you'll have plenty to read.

So, I used three base polishes fot this manicure. The black is Liquid Leather from China Glaze, the red is London from Mavala and the grey is from Nordic Cap. I'm still researching if Nordic Cap is cruelty free or not, but I do know that they're made in China, so keep that in mind.
Then I stamped a pattern using plate QA98 from Born Pretty Store and China Glaze Holly-Day. I used a striping brush and OPI Don't touch my tutu! to make the light parts. I used a striping brush and Liquid Leather to make the black parts on the grey nails.
Finally I put on some studs and top coat. On the thumb I also made a silver stripe between the red and the black parts.

Hi guys! I'm having so much fun at Christina and at the internship. It feels really good and I like it here. Plus, I have a nail polish lover by my side everyday (and all of her polishes) and it's amazing.
It's day 16 today and the theme is geometric. I did some triangles!

I started to hate Nordic Cap NP13 after this manicure. It was streaky and messy and just bad. So, I need a new white creme polish. What's you favorite white creme polish?

After I had a little fight with the white polish I painted triangles in three different colors randomly all over the nails. I used L.A. Girl Brilliant Blue (Thank you Ingela!), Make Up Store Nicklas (Thank you Malin!) and Gina Tricot Beauty Billard. I really like this manicure!

Hello everyone! How are you?
So, no post yesterday. Not gonna apologize this time though, 'cause I was studying for my presentation that I had today and I did't go to bed until 2 am. Yeah.
So, today is day 13 and the theme is Animal Print!

So, I googled for inspiration yesterday during my study break and found this awesome frog. It's called a yellow banded poison dart frog and I though that it looked amazing. This would make a great manicure, just yellow and then some blobby bands of black and some dots. Easy!

Well. It didn't turn out as awesome as I wanted it to. But yeah. I kinda like it.
The yellow is two coats of China Glaze Happy Go Lucky and a thin coat of ORLY Glowstick. The black is Nordic Cap NP12. Yeah. That's about it.

#31DC2014 | Day 11 - Polka Dots

Second of all; this challenge will last for a lot more than 31 days. Doesn't matter, I love doing this!

Today I've been studying. Yeah. That's all. So let's talk nails instead!
Polka dots for day 11!

I don't like these pictures. They're fine, but they're not good. Just so you know.

The base of this manicure is Nordic Cap NP12 and NP13. Then I used China Glaze First Mate to make the dots on the white nails. I don't know if you can see it, but there's actually a gradient going on in the dots. To get that effect I just mixed First Mate with my white polish and then again with the black polish.
I did the same thing on the black nail but I used Nfu Oh 394 instead.
Then I put a fimo bow on my middle and my ring finger, and a square stud on the other nails.
Finished with a coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

Let's face it, I probably won't be able to post twice in one day any day soon, so I should probably stop saying that I'll try to do it. 'Cause there's no time for that.
I do have time for quick posts though, most of the time. So here's another quick one, which is Metallic.

I don't think I actually own any polishes with real metallic finish. I do own foils, but not a smooth metallic. You know, that kind that almost always have a shitload of brushstrokes? Not own any of those.
So, I decided to use one of my foils and studs to represent the metallic part in this manicure. The base is Rodeo Fanatic by China Glaze which Antonia gave me for my birthday last year. I don't know why I haven't used it until now 'cause it is simply amazing. Easy application, almost a one coater and there's a tiny hit of duochrome to it. I love it!
I did the triangles with a silver Depend polish, but I don't know the name right now, and the black is Nordic Cap NP12, as usual.

Hello there! So, I didn't put up a post yesterday. I thought I'd have time to post a short one, but then I went to my friends house to take a cup of coffee and then suddenly it was the middle of the night and I was like "nope, not going to edit pictures and write a post now". So. Yeah.
Here's yesterday's post, and I'll post another post later today. I hope. Lol!
Day 7 is black and white. I did a really quick manicure.

So, there's not much explaining to do here. I used Nordic Cap NP13 as my base and then stamped the crackle-ish pattern (which actually is tree branches) with plate 10 from MoYou London Suki Collection and Nordic Cap NP12. It works for stamping, but as you can see it's like it's too slippery. Which is really annoying.
Anyway, I really like how this turned out! Now I really need to study.

Helloooo babes! It's friday, yay! Finally weekend! Today I've been traveling around the world. Nope. I went to Malmö to do an interview with a company where I want to have my next internship (and I got it!) and then I went to Lund to meet Christina (Passionate About Polish, click click) and Emelie. We talked about the three P's. You know, polish, periods and politics! What a great day.
Today is also my third day in the 31 day challenge, so I've been wearing these nails today. Take a look!

I've been going bananas aaaall day!
I used acrylic paint for the bananas, 'cause I really want to practice my freehand skills.
I've painted my pinkie and my ring finger with two coats of Happy Hands Banana Stand, a beautiful light yellow with matte yellow hex glitter in a medium size and  matte green hex glitter in a small size plus brown shiny glitter in a medium size. Application was perfect, no trouble at all.
The other three nails have a base of Nordic Cap NP13 and acrylic paint.

Hi guys! WOW! It's been almost two months since I published the last post. I accidentally took a vacation and I think I needed that. I've missed you though! 
So, now I'm back again, and hopefully I can get some really nice blogging routines now. I've had some trouble with that for about a year now maybe. I don't know why, but I always have a lot to do, and the time just flies and I don't manage to do half of the stuff I was supposed to. So to save some time I'll write in English only from now. Hope that's okay with all of my Swedish readers.

Anyway. In the beginning of the summer I went to a music festival! It was fun, but the weather was crazy. Sunny one day, thunder the other. Someone (or maybe more than one) actually got hit by lightning! WHAT! Me and my friends are fine though.
Let me show you the nail art I rocked during the festival!

I started with painting my nails in OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. Love that polish. Seriously, I might need to buy another bottle soon! 
Then I stamped my pointer and my middle finger using Nordic Cap NP12, Pueen 52 and Born Pretty Store XL stamper*.
I used Make It Stick Design vinyl chevron decals for the gradient chevron nails, and sponged a gradient over using Lime Crime Peaches <3 Cream and Parfait Day. Then I removed the decals and cleaned up around the nails.
My camera hates the Lime Crime polishes, it thinks that they are washed out pastels, not bright friggin almost-neon-pastels. 

Everything is topped with Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat.

Hej sötisar! Idag ska jag visa er något spännande! En dag satt jag och klickade runt på youtube och snubblade över en helt fantastisk kanal. Så jag gjorde det enda rätta och följde en av de fantastiska tutorialsen på kanalen. Ni borde alla spana in ProfessionalDQ på youtube (och instagram!). Vill ni veta varför? Jo, för att hon är drottningen över enhörningar, äter regnbågar och bajsar cupcakes. Japp.
Det kanske vore smartare att äta cupcakesen? Jo, men hur unikt skulle det vara? Inte så mycket.

Hi cuties! Today I will show you something exciting! One day I was clicking around on youtube and stumbled over a fabulous channel. So I did the only right thing and followed one of the amazing tutorials on the channel. You all should check out ProfessionalDQ on youtube (and instagram!). Do you want to know why? Well, she's the queen of all unicorns, eats rainbows and poops cupcakes. Yes.
Maybe it would be smarter to eat the cupcakes? Yeah, but how unique would that be? Not so much.

Naglarna är förresten tillägnade min fina vän Jenna som jag går i skola med. Hon önskade att jag skulle göra regnbågsnaglar och det gjorde jag!

Ja, jag tycker nog att det är bäst att ni tittar på videon jag länkade tidigare, eftersom det var precis så jag gjorde. Jag använde Nordic Cap NP13 som bas, prickarna är China Glaze Pelican Grey och resten är akrylfärg. Och så matt topplack från H&M.

Skitakul att göra faktiskt! Jag har inte använt akryfärg innan, och upptäckte att de jag har är ganska dåliga (åtminstone den vita som ser ut som keso ungefär och fäster inte på lack). Jag kommer definitivt göra mer nail art med akrylfärg. Kul!


The nails are dedicated to my pretty friend Jenna who I go to school with. She asked me to do rainbow nails, so I did!

Yeah, I think you should watch the video that I linked earlier, 'cause that's exactly how I did these. I used Nordic Cap NP13 as a base, the dots are made with China Glaze Pelican Grey and the rest is acrylic paint. And matte top coat from H&M.

So fun to do actually! I haven't used acrylic paint before, and I discovered that the paint I got is pretty bad (at least the white which looks like cottage cheese and doesn't stick to polish). I will definitely do more nail art with acrylic paint! Fun!

Hej mina vänner! Oj, jag har inte bloggat på ett tag. Praktiken tog väldigt mycket tid, och jag hann inte med mycket på dagarna. Visst kunde jag planerat bättre, men det är sådan jag är, lite halvdålig på att planera. Nu är praktiken iallafall slut och jag går i skolan igen. Det betyder att jag har mer tid för bloggen!
Dock vet jag att den närmsta veckan kommer vara ganska fullspäckad med plugg, eftersom jag har tre heldagar i skolan och inte två heldagar och en halvdag som jag brukar ha. Dessutom har jag LIA-redovisning på måndag nästa vecka, så det är en del jag behöver fixa tills dess.
Nåväl! Det var naglar jag skulle visa idag, galaxer i gråskala. Ta en titt!

Hello my friends! Oh, I haven't blogged in a while. The internship took a lot of time, and I didn't have much time for other things. Sure, I could've planned things better, but that's just who I am, not that great at planning. Now the interships is finally over and I'm back in school. That means more time for the blog!
I don't know how much time I will have this week, though, 'cause I will have more studying to do than usuall. 
Oh well! I was supposed to show you nails today, galaxies in grayscale. Take a look!

Så, jag hade slängt på ett lager Nordic Cap NP12 kvällen innan, för jag hade nakna naglar och behövde en snabb manikyr då det var dags att sova. Sen tänkte jag, vad kan en hitta på för skoj med det här då? Jag var inte så himla sugen på en massa färger, och då slog det mig. En svartvit galax!
Så jag gjorde precis som jag brukar, började svampa lite random med vita Nordic Cap NP13 för att sedan fortsätta med Gina Tricot Punk, Nfu Oh GS06, China Glaze Pelican Gray och så slängde jag på lite glitter på vissa ställen med BYS Crystal Daze. Stjärnor och prickar är gjorda med tandpetare, nail art pensel och Nordic Cap NP13.
Två lager KBShimmer Clearly On Top fick avsluta manikyren. Jag är nöjd!


So, I had slapped on one coat of Nordic Cap NP12 the night before, 'cause I had naked nails and needed a quick mani before bedtime. So then I thought, what fun mani can you do with this? I didn't want anything colorful, and then it hit me. A black and white galaxy!
So I did just like I use to do, started sponging on the white Nordic Cap NP13 randomly, and then continued with Gina Tricot Punk, Nfu Oh GS06, China Glaze Pelican Gray and then I slapped on some glitter in some places with BYS Crystal Daze. The stars and dots were made with toothpicks, nail art brush and Nordic Cap NP13.
Two coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished the manicure. I'm happy with it!

31DC2013 Day 30: Inspired by a tutorial - Watercolor nails

Hallå där! Hur är läget? Jag har inte tagit mig hem från min pojkvän än. Så jag har inte haft så många lack att välja på idag. Dagens utmaning är att inspireras av en tutorial, och jag har valt att inspireras av Rebecca Likes Nails watercolor technique tutorial!

Jag började med att måla naglarna vita med Nordic Cap NP13, och därefter ett lager Seche Vite. Sen blobbade jag ut droppe Nails Inc Baker Street och tog en pensel, doppade den i nagellacksborttaging, eftersom jag inte hade någon aceton, och duttade runt lacket på nageln. Dutta inte för mycket på samma ställe! Sen gjorde jag samma procedur med Ciaté Cabaret.
Och så kunde jag inte låta bli att sätta dit två svarta runda nitar från bornprettystore. Just det hjulet jag har verkar inte finnas kvar.

Hi there! How are you? I not home from my visit at my boyfriend yet. So I didn't have many polishes to chose from today. Todays challenge is to be inspired by a tutorial, and I was inspired by Rebecca Likes Nails watercolor technique tutorial!

I started with painting my nails white with Nordic Cap NP13, and then one coat of Seche Vite. Then I blobbed out a drop of Nails Inc Baker Street and grabed a brush, dipped it in nail polish remover, 'cause I didn't have any acetone, and I dabbed the polish around on the nail. Don't dabb to much on the same spot! Then I did the same thing with Ciaté Cabaret.
And I couldn't leave it without two black round stunds from bornprettystore on each nail. The wheel that I got doesn't seem to be in stock though.

31DC2013 Day 25: Inspired by fashion - CRAZY FASHION

Hej allihopa! Vad gör ni? Jag äter choklad. Jag behöver en liten sockerkick innan jag börjar packa. Jag ska hälsa på min boyfriend i helgen!
Dagens utmaning är att inspireras av "fashion". Mode är något jag inte har koll på alls. Jag följer inte modet direkt, utan jag köper vad jag gillar. Så jag tänkte att jag kan inspireras av någon som, enligt mig, har en fantastiskt stil. Någon som jag anser är en stilikon. Vem kan det vara? Hayley Williams såklart!

Hayley Williams har en galen stil. Hon klär sig i vad hon känner för, hon sminkar sig som hon känner för och hon har sitt hår som hon känner för. Hon bryr sig inte det minsta om någon tycker att hon är ful. Jag brukar fnissa lite när jag ser hennes galna outfits och sen tänker jag "hur lyckas denna människa bära en kalsongväska och skyddskor och se fantastisk ut?". Här är en länk till den outfiten!
Så jag bestämde mig för att inspireras av det hon bar på årets Teen Choice Awards. Här har ni en länk till inspirationsbilden.
Fun fact! Hayley har nominerats till "värst klädd" på båda awardsen. Jag förstår inte varför.

Jag började med att måla tumme, pek och långfinger vita med Nordic Cap NP13 och ring och lillfinger svarta med Nordic Cap NP12. Sen klippte jag tejpbitar så de var lika breda som saxbladet och tejpade över de vita naglarna. Jag målade svart, drog bort tejpen och dottade lite svart så det nästan såg schackrutigt ut. Därefter fäste jag sammanlagt 17 runda nitar med hål i över de svarta prickarna.
De två svarta naglarna fick ett lager matt topplack från H&M och de rutiga fick två lager Poshé. Det blev en massa bubblor i topplacket.
Jag gillar resultatet men jag skulle nog inte bära den under en längre tid. Jag kommer mest troligt inte göra om det heller. Men det ser coolt ut!

Todays challenge is to be inspired by "fashion". Fashion is something that I don't keep track of. I don't follow fashion trends, I buy what I like. So I thought that I could be inspired by someone who, according to me, has a great style. Someone who I think is a fashion icon. Who could that be? Hayley Williams of course!

Hayley Williams has a crazy style. She wears what she want to, do her makeup as she want to, wear what hairstyle she want to. She doesn't give a shizzle if someone think she looks ugly. I usually giggle when I see her crazy outfits and then I think "how can this human wear a underwear purse and saftey shoes and still look amazing?". Here's a link to that outfit!
So I decided to be inspired by the clothes she wore to this years Teen Choice Awards. Here's a link to the inspiration outfit!
Fun fact! Hayley was nominated as "worst dressed" on both of these outfits. I don't understand why.

I started with painting my thumb, pointer and middle finger white with Nordic Cap NP13, and my ring och pinky black with Nordic Cap NP12. Then I cut pieces of tape that was as wide as the scissor blade and placed them on my white nails. I applied one coat of black, removed the tape and dotted black so it kinda looked like a checkerboard. After that I attached 17 round studs with a hole in the middle on the black dots. 
The two black nails got a coat of matte topcoat from H&M and the checkered nails got two coats of Poshé. There is a lot of bubbles in the topcoat.
I like the result, but I probably would not wear it for a longer period. I will probably not do these nails again either. But it looks cool!

31DC2013 Day 24: Inspired by a book - Det sista vi har är våra kroppar

Men hallå där! Dagens utmaning är att inspireras av en bok. Det kan ju innebära en massa saker, men jag har valt att inspireras av ett bokomslag.

Valet av bok var inte svårt. Jag tycker att boken är så himla fin och jag har tänkt på att göra gradienten ända sen jag köpte boken för snart ett år sedan. Boken heter Det sista vi har är våra kroppar och är skriven av Bob Hansson. Jättebra bok om ni frågar mig.

Jag började med ett lager Nordic Cap NP13. Jag brukar inte börja med vitt när jag gör gradienter, men jag tänkte att det kanske är bäst eftersom jag ville få det väldigt ljust på tippen. Därefter gjorde jag en gradient med Depend 299, Essence Ultimate Pink, Nfu Oh 355 och Nordic Cap NP13. Jag använde så lite av Ultimate Pink som möjligt, för att jag bara skulle få en lite mörkare rosa i övergången från lila. Förstår ni vad jag menar? Jag svampade tre gånger, tror jag, innan jag blev nöjd. 

Sen stampade jag taggtråd med Nordic Cap NP12 och Bundle Monster BM-323. Soldaten har jag freehandat med Nordic Cap NP12. Och så topplack!

Well hello there! Todays challenge is to be inspired by a book. That could mean a lot of things, but I chose to be inspired by the cover of a book.

I didn't have any trouble with the book of choice. I think that this book is so pretty and I've wanted to do the gradient since I bought it almost a year ago. It's a swedish book and the title means "the last thing we have is our bodies".

I started with one coat of Nordic Cap NP13. I don't usually start with white when I'm doing a gradient, but I thought that it might be good 'cause I wanted the gradient to be really light at the tip of my nail. After that I did the gradient with Depend 299, Essence Ultimate Pink, Nfu Oh 355 and Nordic Cap NP13. I used as little of Ultimate Pink as possible, so I would get just a little bit darker pink in the transition from the purple part. Do you understand what I mean? I sponged the gradient three times before I was happy.
Then I stamped the barbed wire with Nordic Cap NP12 and Bundle Monster BM-323. I freehanded the soldier with Nordic Cap NP12. And then topcoat!

31DC2013 Day 23: Inspired by a movie - TOTORO!!

Idag, mina vänner, fyller jag år. Ja, idag blir jag 21 år gammal. Tänka sig! Vad knäppt det känns ändå. Tjugoett. Jag är ju jättevuxen nu. Skoja bara, kolla in dagens naglar.
Idag är mina naglar inspirerade av en av mina favoritfilmer. Hayao Miyazaki är ett geni och jag älskar alla filmer jag sett som han gjort. Jag har typ 10 stycken, men jag vill ha alla. Filmer alltså. Här har ni naglar med Totoro, från filmen Min Granne Totoro. SE DEN!
Förresten, kanske kan Tove godkänna detta till blå måndag?

Hur kul är inte detta då? Igår berättade jag för min bästis att jag tänkte göra Totoro naglar och jag fick väldigt positiv respons på min idé. Det visade sig att hon hade köpt världens finaste urgulliga Totoro tofflor till mig i födelsedagspresent! Man kan koppla in dom i USB'n på datorn och då blir dom varma! Jag har väldigt kalla fötter, så dom passar mig bra.

Naglarna har jag gjort genom att börja med en gradient med Isadora Baby Blue (ja, jag typ älskar det lacket) och Marzipan. Sen gjorde jag lite gräs med Ciaté Mojito på alla naglar utom ringfinger. Där gjorde jag Totoro med Ciaté Vintage, Miyo Peacock, Nordic Cap NP12 och NP13.
Jag är så himla nöjd! Perfekt födelsedagsmanikyr!


Today, my friends, is my birthday. Yes, I'm turning 21 years old today. Can you imagine! Feels wierd. Twenty one. I'm really grown-up now. Just kidding, look at todays nails.
Today my nails are inspired by one of my favorite movies. Hayao Miyazaki is a genius and I love all the movies I've seen by him. I own like 10, but I want them all. Here you have nails with Totoro, from the movie My Neighbor Totoro. WATCH IT!
By the way, maybe Tove will accept this for blue monday?

How fun isn't this? Yesterday I told my bestie that I was going to do Totoro nails today and I got a really positive response on that idea. And today she gave me the cutest Totoro slippers in birthday present! You can connect them to you computer with USB and they will become heated! I have really cold feet, so they fit me perfectly.

I did the nails by starting with a gradient with Isadora Baby Blue (yes, I kinda love this polish) and Marzipan. Then I made some grass with Ciaté Mojito on all nails, except the ring finger. That's where I painted Totoro with Ciaté Vintage, Miyo Peacock, Nordic Cap NP12 and NP13.
I'm so happy with this! Perfect birthday manicure!

31DC2013 Day 22: Inspired by a song - Last Hope

Hej allihopa! Sent idag igen, jag vet. Jag håller på med de sista förberedelserna inför en redovisning jag har imorgon i skolan. Ute i sista sekund som vanligt, haha!
Idag ska jag inspireras av en låt. Jag hade inga problem med att välja, då jag har haft den här idén ett tag.
Min låt är Last Hope från Paramore's nyaste skiva. Låten finns i slutet på inlägget!

Jag har gjort en stjärna på mitt långfinger, och tanken var att det självlysande som sprider sig över de andra naglarna inte skulle synas på det svarta. Men det gör inte så mycket att det syns, tycker jag. Det ser fint ut!
Men gud vad svårt det var att fota självlysnade lack! Hoppas ni ser.

Hi everybody! Late post today again, I know. I'm doing the last preparations for a thing at school tomorrow. In the last minute, like always, haha!
Today I'm supposed to be inspired by a song, and it was easy to decide what to do. I've wanted to do these nails for a while.
I was inspired by Last Hope from Paramore's latest record.

The lyrics I was inspired by was the following:

It's just a sprak, but it's enough to keep me going
And when it's dark out, no one's around
It keeps glowing

I've done a star on my middle finger, and the idea was that the glow-in-the-dark polish wouldn't show on the black base. But it doesn't really matter, I think. I think it looks good!

But god it's hard to photograph glow-in-the-dark polishes! I hope you can see.

I've used Nordic Cap NP12, NP13 and China Glaze Goulish Glow.
