Today it's day 24 and the manicure is inspired by a book!

Today my inspiration was the book A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I read the book when I was about 13 years old and I loved it. I couldn't find any pictures but I remember that the cover of the book I read was pink, so I used that as an inspiration.
The story has some really stereotypical princess parts, which also inspired me, plus the sparkling stories and the imagination. I really like this book, and I will definitely read it once more.

For the manicure I used OPI Hey Baby, Smitten Polish This Is My Tiara (I just had to use it!), China Glaze Friends Forever, Right? and Cult Nails Angel Whispers. I also used some rhinestones and a nail sticker. (Thank you so much Andrea!)

Hi there! I didn't publish any post yesterday. I was packing and preparing for my first week as an intern at a company in Malmö. Christina (Passionate About Polish, instagram: @cilp) invited me to live with her. How fun!
Today is day 14 and the theme is flowers. Take a look!

So, this was a fast and easy manicure. The base is Ciaté Headliner in two coats and then I stamped a rose pattern from Bundle Monster BM-323 using China Glaze Scandalous Shenanigans.
It's not a super fun manicure, but it's quite simple and clean. I like it!

Hello cuties! Here I am, late as always! ;)
Today is day 12 for me. The theme is stripes!

I'm really happy with these nails! Seriously, I did a great job!
The base is a light sea foam green shimmer by China Glaze and it's called Keep Calm, Paint On. I love this polish. It's delicate and pretty and clean and cool at the same time. It's perfect! I've used it before in a couple of manicures, like this one, and I just love it.
I freehanded the stripes with a striping brush and these are the colors I used:

Heeeelloooo guys! It's saturday! How fun! I'm going to play some games with my friends. Do you have any plans for this evening?
Today it's day 9 and the theme is rainbow. Check out what I did!

I made some stamping decals with Konad m61, Nordic Cap NP12 and acrylic paint. Unfortunately my acrylic paint is a bit too dark, so I didn't get the look I was aiming for.
The base is Alana Renee It's A Surprise, which is a white shimmer with a yellow tone. Looks pretty white on these pictures though. It's not that white in real life.
The glitter is Worst. Polish. Ever. by Happy Hands. This was also a birthday gift that I got from Ulrika last year. It's not the worst polish ever. It's actually pretty amazing. The applications is flawless! Too bad Happy Hands don't do polishes anymore.

I do like this manicure, even though it didn't turn out the way I wanted. What do you think?

Let's face it, I probably won't be able to post twice in one day any day soon, so I should probably stop saying that I'll try to do it. 'Cause there's no time for that.
I do have time for quick posts though, most of the time. So here's another quick one, which is Metallic.

I don't think I actually own any polishes with real metallic finish. I do own foils, but not a smooth metallic. You know, that kind that almost always have a shitload of brushstrokes? Not own any of those.
So, I decided to use one of my foils and studs to represent the metallic part in this manicure. The base is Rodeo Fanatic by China Glaze which Antonia gave me for my birthday last year. I don't know why I haven't used it until now 'cause it is simply amazing. Easy application, almost a one coater and there's a tiny hit of duochrome to it. I love it!
I did the triangles with a silver Depend polish, but I don't know the name right now, and the black is Nordic Cap NP12, as usual.

Hi guys! What's up? This post will be short 'cause I'm tired. Let's go!
Day 5 means blue and it's monday, so that means GREAT TIMING, it's blue Monday at Tove (Nail Me, click click). Take a look!

So, for these nails I started with painting two coats of Alana Renee It's A Boy which I actually won in Toves pregnancy giveaway. It's a beautiful light blue with specks of shimmer in it. They kind of drown a bit in the base though.
Then I put on one generous coat of Models Own Indian Ocean and OH MY GOD, that is stunning. It's a sheer blue based polish with duochrome shimmer that shifts from pale golden yellowish to pink. It's really pretty.
Then I used my water decal roses that Andrea (Tasty Tips, click click!) gave me for my birthday last year. Can't believe that I've had these in my drawer for almost a year. I love this look. Really.

Hello there sweeties! Sorry for not posting yesterday. I did write a post telling you that I didn't have time to post for day 4, but somehow that post disappeared. I wrote it on my phone though, so maybe that's why.
Today it's my fathers birthday so I've been celebrating him a little bit. We ate ice cream, noms! That's why I'm posting so late today. I thought I could publish two posts today, but I can't, It's too late. So now I'm three days late on this challenge! GREAT SUCCESS! Nah, it doesn't really matter as long as I'm having fun.
These are the nails for day 4, which is green!

So! For this manicure I used China Glaze Pelican Gray as my base and brown acrylic paint for my tree. I painted the trunk and the branches with a nail art brush. Then I made a shitload of leafs with a dotting tool using China Glaze Cha Cha Cha, Holly-Day and Running In Circles. Three BEAUTIFUL green polishes. Seriously, if you don't have them in your stash, you might wanna do some shopping.
I finished the design with a coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat.

Misa Spaced Out

Hej allihopa! Jag har något spännande att berätta. Vi har skaffat en katt! Hon är liten, fantastiskt snäll och söt och mysig och hon heter Loca. Lägger in en bild (eller fler) längst ner, eftersom jag vet att alla älskar katter, haha.
Idag tänkte jag visa er ett lack jag tänkte publicerat under United In Grey, men jag hann inte på grund av.. Ja, katt och Liseberg. Ni ska få se mitt enda lack från Misa. Varsågoda!


Hi everyone! I have something exciting to share with you. We got a cat! She is tiny, incredibly sweet and cute and cozy and her name is Loca. I'll insert a picture (or more) in the end of this post, 'cause I know that everyone loves cats, haha.
Today I thought I would show a polish that I planned to publish during United In Grey, but I didn't have time because of... Yeah, a cat and an amusement park. You will see my only polish from Misa. Here you go!

Spaced Out från Misa är ett grått lack med små partiklar, skimmerpartiklar faktiskt, som ser grå ut. De gör att lacket ser lite ut som betong ungefär. Men vet ni? De är inte helt grå. I solen kan du, om du tittar noga, se att de glimmar till i blått och rosa. Tyvärr är det fruktansvärt svårt att se.
Formlan var bra. Lite rinnigt kanske, men inget som skapar problem.
Två lager och ett lager Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

Spaced Out from Misa is a grey polish with tiny particles, shimmer particles actually, which looks grey. They make the polish look a bit like concrete. But you know what? They aren't compleatly grey. In the sun you can see, if you look closely, that they gleam in blue and pink. Unfortunately it's really hard to see.
The formula was good. Maybe a bit runny, but nothing that causes trouble.
Two coats and one coat Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

Idag vill jag visa er ett lack jag fick av fina bästa Andrea i födelsedagspresent. Ett alldeles perfekt lack, om ni frågar mig. Det är KBShimmer 24 Carrot Bold!

Friends! What are you doing?
Today I want to show you a polish that I got as a birthdaygift from the best and beautiful Andrea. A perfect polish, if you ask me. It's KBShimmer 24 Carrot Bold!

24 Carrot Bold är ett orange neonlack med flakie-aktigt skimmer i guld-gult. Skimret skiftar dessutom färg lite, mot grönt i vissa ljus och vinklar. Oerhört vackert!
Det torkar matt, och det torkar snabbt, så vill du bära det matt så är det inga problem. Formulan är dessutom riktigt bra, och täcker gör det också. Dock har det den egenskapen som jag upplever att vissa röda, orange och rosa lack har, de gör att det ser ut som att jag har massor av skit under naglarna. Jag har ingen skit under naglarna, men ändå så är det en mörkare rand där nageln är fäst i fingret. Sjukt irriterande.
Därför har jag slängt på typ 3-4 lager, men har du inte det problemet med vissa lack klarar du dig med 2 lager.
På sista bilden har jag dessutom ett lager piCture pOlish Top'n Base Coat.

Jag gillar 24 Carrot Bold! Jag tycker att det är roligt och riktigt fint.


24 Carrot Bold is a orange neon polish with flakie-ish shimmer in golden-yellow. The color of the shimmer shifts in some lights and angles to green. Incredibly beautiful!
It dries matte, and it dries quickly, so if you want to wear it matte there will be no problems. The formula is really good and it covers well. Though it does have a capacity that I feel that some red, orange and pink polishes have, they make it look like I have dirt under my nails. I don't have any dirt under my nails, still there's a dark line where my nail is attached to my finger. So annyoing.
Because of that I put on 3-4 coats, but if you don't have that problem with some polishes, you'll be just fine with 2 coats.
I also have one coat of piCture pOlish Top'n Base Coat on the last picture.

I like 24 Carrot Bold! I think it's fun and really pretty.

Hej mina vänner! Oj, jag har inte bloggat på ett tag. Praktiken tog väldigt mycket tid, och jag hann inte med mycket på dagarna. Visst kunde jag planerat bättre, men det är sådan jag är, lite halvdålig på att planera. Nu är praktiken iallafall slut och jag går i skolan igen. Det betyder att jag har mer tid för bloggen!
Dock vet jag att den närmsta veckan kommer vara ganska fullspäckad med plugg, eftersom jag har tre heldagar i skolan och inte två heldagar och en halvdag som jag brukar ha. Dessutom har jag LIA-redovisning på måndag nästa vecka, så det är en del jag behöver fixa tills dess.
Nåväl! Det var naglar jag skulle visa idag, galaxer i gråskala. Ta en titt!

Hello my friends! Oh, I haven't blogged in a while. The internship took a lot of time, and I didn't have much time for other things. Sure, I could've planned things better, but that's just who I am, not that great at planning. Now the interships is finally over and I'm back in school. That means more time for the blog!
I don't know how much time I will have this week, though, 'cause I will have more studying to do than usuall. 
Oh well! I was supposed to show you nails today, galaxies in grayscale. Take a look!

Så, jag hade slängt på ett lager Nordic Cap NP12 kvällen innan, för jag hade nakna naglar och behövde en snabb manikyr då det var dags att sova. Sen tänkte jag, vad kan en hitta på för skoj med det här då? Jag var inte så himla sugen på en massa färger, och då slog det mig. En svartvit galax!
Så jag gjorde precis som jag brukar, började svampa lite random med vita Nordic Cap NP13 för att sedan fortsätta med Gina Tricot Punk, Nfu Oh GS06, China Glaze Pelican Gray och så slängde jag på lite glitter på vissa ställen med BYS Crystal Daze. Stjärnor och prickar är gjorda med tandpetare, nail art pensel och Nordic Cap NP13.
Två lager KBShimmer Clearly On Top fick avsluta manikyren. Jag är nöjd!


So, I had slapped on one coat of Nordic Cap NP12 the night before, 'cause I had naked nails and needed a quick mani before bedtime. So then I thought, what fun mani can you do with this? I didn't want anything colorful, and then it hit me. A black and white galaxy!
So I did just like I use to do, started sponging on the white Nordic Cap NP13 randomly, and then continued with Gina Tricot Punk, Nfu Oh GS06, China Glaze Pelican Gray and then I slapped on some glitter in some places with BYS Crystal Daze. The stars and dots were made with toothpicks, nail art brush and Nordic Cap NP13.
Two coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished the manicure. I'm happy with it!

31DC2013 Day 26: Inspired by a pattern

Det var nära att det inte blev något inlägg idag! Teknologin bråkade med mig, men nu jäklar!

Jag har målat naglarna hos min pojkvän idag så jag tänkte att jag skulle göra något enkelt. Inspirerat av ett mönster. Så jag valde att göra en stampicure!

Enkelt tänkte jag ju. Men jag valde helt fel bas. OPI Moon Over Mumbai ville inte täcka mina missfärgade naglar förrän på fjärde lagret. Fyra lager alltså, var av ett rätt tjockt. Men vilket fint lack! Ljust grått med lite skimmer. Lite jellyaktig. 

Stampingen är gjord med Deep Deep Water från H&M och Bundle Monster BM-322. Jag har även gjort prickar med Depend 223.

I had trouble with the technology this evening, so I almost couldn't write this post.

Today I painted my nails at my boyfriends apartment, so I thought that I should keep it simple. Inspired by a pattern. So I chose to do a stampicure!

Keep it simlpe, was my plan. But I chose the wrong base. OPI Moon Over Mumbai didn't want to cover my staind nails until the fourth coat. Four coats, whereof one quite thick. But what a pretty polish! Light grey with shimmer. A little bit jelly-ish.

The stamping was made with Deep Deep Water from H&M and Bundle Monster BM-322. I have also done some dots with Depend 223.

31DC2013 Day 18: Half moons

Jag vet att klockan är över 12 men jag är hemma hos Jennie Lee, min bästis, och hon bor mitt i skogen på landet utan täckning och internet. Så jag har kopplat upp min dator till min iphone och hoppas på det bästa. Förhoppningsvis går det att ladda upp!
Idag är utmaningen halvmånar och jag har lånat lack av Jennie Lee!

Det tog säkert en halvtimma att ladda upp bilderna. Varför är det så att man har massor av bra bilder när man inte har internet? Det undrar jag! Bilderna är tagna under Jennie Lees spislampa.
De två lack jag lånat är Bogotá Blackberry och Stay The Night, båda från OPI. Jag började med två lager Bogotá Blackberry som är ett fantastiskt vackert rött skimmer lack. Jag ska köpa mig en egen flaska, för jag gillar det faktiskt!
Sen tog jag en nail art pensel och markerade med Stay The Night där jag ville att halvmånarna skulle börja. Och så målade jag ett lager Stay The Night, som är ett svart Liquid Sand med rödaktigt glitter. Jag är sjukt nöjd. Känner mig jättesexig!



I know that the clock is over midnight, but I'm visiting Jennie Lee, my bestie, and she lives in the woods on the countryside without connection or internet. So I've connected my laptop to my iphone and hopes for the best. Hopefully I will get this published.
Todays challenge is half moons and I've borrowed polishes from Jennie Lee.

It surely took half an hour to upload the pictures. Why do I need to take so many good pictures when I don't have internet to upload them? The pictures are under Jennie Lees stove lamp.
The two polishes I've borrowed is Bogotá Blackberry and Stay The Night, both by OPI. I've started with two coats of Bogotá Blackberry which is a beautiful red shimmer polish. I'm going to buy my own bottle, 'cause I really like it!
Then I took a nail art brush and marked with Stay The Night where I wanted the half moons to start. Then I appied one coat of Stay The Night, which is a black Liquid Sand with red-ish glitter. I'm really happy with this. I feel supersexy!

Hej kompisar! Hur har ni det? Jag har varit frånvarande ett tag, för det har varit mycket annat att fokusera på. Jag ska dela med mig lite grann. Jag förlorade min högskoleplats, men det är helt okej för jag har börjat på teknikhögskolan istället, där jag läser webbutveckling. Jag är kär. Japp, you heard me. Jag har gått och kärat ner mig i en man och jag har fått äran att kalla honom min pojkvän. Jag är så glad att jag kan spricka. Och nu sitter jag här, mitt i natten, för att jag vaknade och kunde inte somna om. Så jag tänkte, varför inte göra det bästa av tiden och blogga lite?
Så här har ni ett inlägg. Det var väl kul! Lacket jag visar idag är ett sjukt fint lack från årets vårkollektion Avant Garden av China Glaze. Lacket heter Dandy Lyin' Around och har stulit en liten plats i mitt hjärta.

Mina bilder gör inte Dandy Lyin' Around rättvisa för fem öre. Det är så jäkla fint. Krispigt vitt skimmerlack, eller kanske till och med glassfleck. Det ser ut som snö, fast glansigt. Det gnistrar om det. Åh vad fint det är!

Formulan var inte den bästa, men det brukar den inte vara när det är ett vitt lack. Men jag har ändå inte mycket att klaga på. Det blir lite randigt och valligt, men jämnar ut sig helt okej bra efter tre lager.

Hi friends! I've been absent for a while 'cause I've had some other things to focus on. I'll tell you a bit more about it. I lost my spot at the university, but it doesn't really matter 'cause now I go to another school where I study webb development, or something like that. I'm in love. Yep, you heard me. I've fallen in love with this great guy and now I have the honor to call him "boyfriend". I'm so happy I could crack.
So now I'm sitting here in the middle of the night. I woke up, and couldn't fall back to sleep, so I thought "why not do the best of the situation and write a blogpost?"
So here's your post. I am showing you this beautiful polish from this years spring collection Avant Garden by China Glaze. The polish is called Dandy Lyin' Around and it kind of stole a little piece of my heart.

My pictures does not do Dandy Lyin' Around justice. It is so darn beautiful. Crisp white shimmer polish, or it might even be glassflecks. It looks like snow, but shiny. And it sparkles. Oh it's so pretty! 
The formula was not the best, but white polishes usually don't have good formula. But I don't have much to complain about. It was a bit streaky at first, but it leveled up just fine after three coats. 
Three coats and topcoat, if I remember correctly.

Blue Monday: Keep Calm, Skittlette On

Jag är jäkligt glad. Jag ville bara säga det. Det är mycket som pågår och mitt liv känns fantastiskt, vilket är underbart efter de tuffa månader jag lämnat bakom mig. Nu går det bra igen!
Idag visar jag er en så kallad Skittlette som lämpar sig bra för Blå Måndag. Linda har ju tagit semester, så ni hittar alla snygga blåa hos Tove istället. För er som inte vet vad en Skittlette är, så rekommenderar jag att ni spanar in ChitChatNails och hennes skittlette inlägg!

I'm friggin' happy. I just wanted to let you know. There's a lot of things going on in my life right now and it feels fantastic, which is wonderful after those rough months I've left behind me. It feels good again!
