Hello there cuties! What are you doing today?
It's day 27 and the theme is inspired by artwork. I was inspired by one of my faaaavorite artists!

Only one nail today, but that's because I was so happy with it and I didn't want to ruin this whole post not that good nail art.
This is inspired by a self portrait by Jennie Lee, a dear friend of mine. She's amazing and I love all of her art, and I think she should know that she's really good.

Hello everyone! How are you?
So, no post yesterday. Not gonna apologize this time though, 'cause I was studying for my presentation that I had today and I did't go to bed until 2 am. Yeah.
So, today is day 13 and the theme is Animal Print!

So, I googled for inspiration yesterday during my study break and found this awesome frog. It's called a yellow banded poison dart frog and I though that it looked amazing. This would make a great manicure, just yellow and then some blobby bands of black and some dots. Easy!

Well. It didn't turn out as awesome as I wanted it to. But yeah. I kinda like it.
The yellow is two coats of China Glaze Happy Go Lucky and a thin coat of ORLY Glowstick. The black is Nordic Cap NP12. Yeah. That's about it.

#31DC2014 | Day 11 - Polka Dots

First of all; I have updated the Gradient post! Check it out!
Second of all; this challenge will last for a lot more than 31 days. Doesn't matter, I love doing this!

Today I've been studying. Yeah. That's all. So let's talk nails instead!
Polka dots for day 11!

I don't like these pictures. They're fine, but they're not good. Just so you know.

The base of this manicure is Nordic Cap NP12 and NP13. Then I used China Glaze First Mate to make the dots on the white nails. I don't know if you can see it, but there's actually a gradient going on in the dots. To get that effect I just mixed First Mate with my white polish and then again with the black polish.
I did the same thing on the black nail but I used Nfu Oh 394 instead.
Then I put a fimo bow on my middle and my ring finger, and a square stud on the other nails.
Finished with a coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

Hello there! So, I didn't put up a post yesterday. I thought I'd have time to post a short one, but then I went to my friends house to take a cup of coffee and then suddenly it was the middle of the night and I was like "nope, not going to edit pictures and write a post now". So. Yeah.
Here's yesterday's post, and I'll post another post later today. I hope. Lol!
Day 7 is black and white. I did a really quick manicure.

So, there's not much explaining to do here. I used Nordic Cap NP13 as my base and then stamped the crackle-ish pattern (which actually is tree branches) with plate 10 from MoYou London Suki Collection and Nordic Cap NP12. It works for stamping, but as you can see it's like it's too slippery. Which is really annoying.
Anyway, I really like how this turned out! Now I really need to study.

Nail Art - Music Festival

Hi guys! WOW! It's been almost two months since I published the last post. I accidentally took a vacation and I think I needed that. I've missed you though! 
So, now I'm back again, and hopefully I can get some really nice blogging routines now. I've had some trouble with that for about a year now maybe. I don't know why, but I always have a lot to do, and the time just flies and I don't manage to do half of the stuff I was supposed to. So to save some time I'll write in English only from now. Hope that's okay with all of my Swedish readers.

Anyway. In the beginning of the summer I went to a music festival! It was fun, but the weather was crazy. Sunny one day, thunder the other. Someone (or maybe more than one) actually got hit by lightning! WHAT! Me and my friends are fine though.
Let me show you the nail art I rocked during the festival!

I started with painting my nails in OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. Love that polish. Seriously, I might need to buy another bottle soon! 
Then I stamped my pointer and my middle finger using Nordic Cap NP12, Pueen 52 and Born Pretty Store XL stamper*.
I used Make It Stick Design vinyl chevron decals for the gradient chevron nails, and sponged a gradient over using Lime Crime Peaches <3 Cream and Parfait Day. Then I removed the decals and cleaned up around the nails.
My camera hates the Lime Crime polishes, it thinks that they are washed out pastels, not bright friggin almost-neon-pastels. 

Everything is topped with Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat.

It's Sunday! How was your weekend?
Today I wanted to share the second, and last, manicure from the Born Pretty Store stud review that I published earlier this week. The design is kinda the same as the Liquid Teal manicure I showed you a while ago, but this one is magenta and a little bit different. Take a look!

This manicure was made with the same concept as Liquid Teal. I used the same techniques and the same base polish, but changed two polishes, the stamping plate and the stud. I decided what designs I wanted and then I just "shuffled" the designs on my hands, so my left hand and right hand wouldn't look the same. Don't be scared to have two hands with nails that "don't match", 'cause they do match, right? I mean color wise and such.

For this manicure I used China Glaze Liquid Leather as my black. China Glaze Don't Make Wine is the magenta-ish winey color, which works great for stamping. The stamping was made with Pueen plate 57 and Born Pretty Store XL Stamper*. The glitter polish is Model City Polish Sheena Is A Punk Rocker (I LOVE Ramones!!) and the stud is the colorful stud* I reviewed the other day.

I really like this kind of manicure, 'cause they're fast and easy to do and they look awesome and classy and cool at the same time.
I topped it all of with a coat (two coats on the glitter) of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

Hej mina vänner! Oj, jag har inte bloggat på ett tag. Praktiken tog väldigt mycket tid, och jag hann inte med mycket på dagarna. Visst kunde jag planerat bättre, men det är sådan jag är, lite halvdålig på att planera. Nu är praktiken iallafall slut och jag går i skolan igen. Det betyder att jag har mer tid för bloggen!
Dock vet jag att den närmsta veckan kommer vara ganska fullspäckad med plugg, eftersom jag har tre heldagar i skolan och inte två heldagar och en halvdag som jag brukar ha. Dessutom har jag LIA-redovisning på måndag nästa vecka, så det är en del jag behöver fixa tills dess.
Nåväl! Det var naglar jag skulle visa idag, galaxer i gråskala. Ta en titt!

Hello my friends! Oh, I haven't blogged in a while. The internship took a lot of time, and I didn't have much time for other things. Sure, I could've planned things better, but that's just who I am, not that great at planning. Now the interships is finally over and I'm back in school. That means more time for the blog!
I don't know how much time I will have this week, though, 'cause I will have more studying to do than usuall. 
Oh well! I was supposed to show you nails today, galaxies in grayscale. Take a look!

Så, jag hade slängt på ett lager Nordic Cap NP12 kvällen innan, för jag hade nakna naglar och behövde en snabb manikyr då det var dags att sova. Sen tänkte jag, vad kan en hitta på för skoj med det här då? Jag var inte så himla sugen på en massa färger, och då slog det mig. En svartvit galax!
Så jag gjorde precis som jag brukar, började svampa lite random med vita Nordic Cap NP13 för att sedan fortsätta med Gina Tricot Punk, Nfu Oh GS06, China Glaze Pelican Gray och så slängde jag på lite glitter på vissa ställen med BYS Crystal Daze. Stjärnor och prickar är gjorda med tandpetare, nail art pensel och Nordic Cap NP13.
Två lager KBShimmer Clearly On Top fick avsluta manikyren. Jag är nöjd!


So, I had slapped on one coat of Nordic Cap NP12 the night before, 'cause I had naked nails and needed a quick mani before bedtime. So then I thought, what fun mani can you do with this? I didn't want anything colorful, and then it hit me. A black and white galaxy!
So I did just like I use to do, started sponging on the white Nordic Cap NP13 randomly, and then continued with Gina Tricot Punk, Nfu Oh GS06, China Glaze Pelican Gray and then I slapped on some glitter in some places with BYS Crystal Daze. The stars and dots were made with toothpicks, nail art brush and Nordic Cap NP13.
Two coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished the manicure. I'm happy with it!

Hejsan! Det var ju inte riktigt meningen att jag skulle försvinna i sisådär tre veckor. Men ja, det var svårare att hinna med allt än vad jag räknade med. Idag är jag dock hemma från praktiken eftersom min mage inte riktigt vill vara min vän. Då hinner jag ju blogga, tänkte jag. Och förbereda inlägg och sånt där som jag inte hunnit. Kul va!

Jag börjar med att visa er en manikyr som jag älskade att bära. Det är inte en skittle eftersom jag har två likadana naglar på varje hand, men jag vet inte om det räknas som en skittlette? 

Jag hade iallafall inte alla naglar likadana på andra handen, och jag kände mig oerhört snygg.

Hi! I didn't really mean to disappear for about three weeks. But yeah, it was harder to get time to do everything that I imagined. Today I'm home from my internship, 'cause my stomach doesn't really want to be my friend. Then I thought I'll have time to blog. And prepare posts and do that stuff that I didn't have time for. Fun huh!

I start with showing you a manicure that I loved to wear. It's not a skittle because I have two nails with the same design on each hand, but I don't know if it counts as a skittlette?
I didn't have the designs on the same nails on the other hand, and I felt so gorgeous.

Kör en kort beskrivning idag. Jag har börjat med att måla alla naglar utom lillfingret med två lager China Glaze Liquid Leather. Jag frågar mig själv varför jag inte använder den oftare? Fantastisk formula och glans. Underbart svart lack!
Lillfingret har två-tre lager Kicks Sugar Laquer Moondust som egenligen har lite duo-multikromt glitter, men det är jäkla svårt att se och svårare att fånga på bild. Schysst formula och sånt, väldigt fint texturlack.

Tummen och ringfingret är stämplade med China Glaze Tongue & Chic, Moyou London Suki Collection Plate 06 och Konads dubble ended stamper. 

Pekfingret har en grön rhinestone som jag köpt själv på BornPrettyStore (glöm inte använda min kod för 10% rabatt).

Och slutligen, långfingret har en gradient med Liquid Leather och Tongue & Chic. 

Doing a short description today. I started with painting all nails, except pinkie, with two coats of China Glaze Liquid Leather. I ask myself why I don't use this more often? Fantastic formula and shine. Wonderful black polish!

The pinkie has got two-three coats of Kicks Sugar Laquer Moondust which actually has a little duo-multichrome glitter, but it's hard to see and even harder to capture on picture. Nice formula and such, really pretty texture polish.

The thumb and ring finger is stamped with China Glaze Tongue & Chic, Moyou London Suki Collection Plate 06 and Konad Dubble Ended stamper.

The pointer has got a green rhinestone that I bought myself from BornPrettyStore (don't forget to use my code for 10% discount).

And finally, my middle finger has got a gradient with Liquid Leather and Tongue & Chic.

31DC2013 Day 25: Inspired by fashion - CRAZY FASHION

Hej allihopa! Vad gör ni? Jag äter choklad. Jag behöver en liten sockerkick innan jag börjar packa. Jag ska hälsa på min boyfriend i helgen!
Dagens utmaning är att inspireras av "fashion". Mode är något jag inte har koll på alls. Jag följer inte modet direkt, utan jag köper vad jag gillar. Så jag tänkte att jag kan inspireras av någon som, enligt mig, har en fantastiskt stil. Någon som jag anser är en stilikon. Vem kan det vara? Hayley Williams såklart!

Hayley Williams har en galen stil. Hon klär sig i vad hon känner för, hon sminkar sig som hon känner för och hon har sitt hår som hon känner för. Hon bryr sig inte det minsta om någon tycker att hon är ful. Jag brukar fnissa lite när jag ser hennes galna outfits och sen tänker jag "hur lyckas denna människa bära en kalsongväska och skyddskor och se fantastisk ut?". Här är en länk till den outfiten!
Så jag bestämde mig för att inspireras av det hon bar på årets Teen Choice Awards. Här har ni en länk till inspirationsbilden.
Fun fact! Hayley har nominerats till "värst klädd" på båda awardsen. Jag förstår inte varför.

Jag började med att måla tumme, pek och långfinger vita med Nordic Cap NP13 och ring och lillfinger svarta med Nordic Cap NP12. Sen klippte jag tejpbitar så de var lika breda som saxbladet och tejpade över de vita naglarna. Jag målade svart, drog bort tejpen och dottade lite svart så det nästan såg schackrutigt ut. Därefter fäste jag sammanlagt 17 runda nitar med hål i över de svarta prickarna.
De två svarta naglarna fick ett lager matt topplack från H&M och de rutiga fick två lager Poshé. Det blev en massa bubblor i topplacket.
Jag gillar resultatet men jag skulle nog inte bära den under en längre tid. Jag kommer mest troligt inte göra om det heller. Men det ser coolt ut!

Todays challenge is to be inspired by "fashion". Fashion is something that I don't keep track of. I don't follow fashion trends, I buy what I like. So I thought that I could be inspired by someone who, according to me, has a great style. Someone who I think is a fashion icon. Who could that be? Hayley Williams of course!

Hayley Williams has a crazy style. She wears what she want to, do her makeup as she want to, wear what hairstyle she want to. She doesn't give a shizzle if someone think she looks ugly. I usually giggle when I see her crazy outfits and then I think "how can this human wear a underwear purse and saftey shoes and still look amazing?". Here's a link to that outfit!
So I decided to be inspired by the clothes she wore to this years Teen Choice Awards. Here's a link to the inspiration outfit!
Fun fact! Hayley was nominated as "worst dressed" on both of these outfits. I don't understand why.

I started with painting my thumb, pointer and middle finger white with Nordic Cap NP13, and my ring och pinky black with Nordic Cap NP12. Then I cut pieces of tape that was as wide as the scissor blade and placed them on my white nails. I applied one coat of black, removed the tape and dotted black so it kinda looked like a checkerboard. After that I attached 17 round studs with a hole in the middle on the black dots. 
The two black nails got a coat of matte topcoat from H&M and the checkered nails got two coats of Poshé. There is a lot of bubbles in the topcoat.
I like the result, but I probably would not wear it for a longer period. I will probably not do these nails again either. But it looks cool!

31DC2013 Day 22: Inspired by a song - Last Hope

Hej allihopa! Sent idag igen, jag vet. Jag håller på med de sista förberedelserna inför en redovisning jag har imorgon i skolan. Ute i sista sekund som vanligt, haha!
Idag ska jag inspireras av en låt. Jag hade inga problem med att välja, då jag har haft den här idén ett tag.
Min låt är Last Hope från Paramore's nyaste skiva. Låten finns i slutet på inlägget!

Textraden ur låten jag valt att inspireras av är följande:

It's just a sprak, but it's enough to keep me going
And when it's dark out, no one's around
It keeps glowing

Jag har gjort en stjärna på mitt långfinger, och tanken var att det självlysande som sprider sig över de andra naglarna inte skulle synas på det svarta. Men det gör inte så mycket att det syns, tycker jag. Det ser fint ut!
Men gud vad svårt det var att fota självlysnade lack! Hoppas ni ser.

Hi everybody! Late post today again, I know. I'm doing the last preparations for a thing at school tomorrow. In the last minute, like always, haha!
Today I'm supposed to be inspired by a song, and it was easy to decide what to do. I've wanted to do these nails for a while.
I was inspired by Last Hope from Paramore's latest record.

The lyrics I was inspired by was the following:

It's just a sprak, but it's enough to keep me going
And when it's dark out, no one's around
It keeps glowing

I've done a star on my middle finger, and the idea was that the glow-in-the-dark polish wouldn't show on the black base. But it doesn't really matter, I think. I think it looks good!

But god it's hard to photograph glow-in-the-dark polishes! I hope you can see.

I've used Nordic Cap NP12, NP13 and China Glaze Goulish Glow.

I don't think you can listen to this if you're on your phone. 

31DC2013 Day 20: Water Marble

Det här utmaningen får mig att testa på saker jag aldrig gjort innan. Som dagens tema, water marble. Här ser ni mitt första försök någonsin.

Ja, det är sant! Mitt absolut första försök gick hur bra som helst. Jag hade inga problem! Jag använde vatten som stått i tevattenkokaren sedan igår och ett litet glas. Så kokat rumstempurerat vatten. Inga problem alls. Jag har använt Liquid Leather, Budding Romance och First Mate, alla från China Glaze.

This challenge makes me try things that I've never done before. Like todays theme, water marble. This is my first try ever.

Yes, it's true! My absolute first try went so incredibly well. I had no problems! I used the water that was in the electric kettle since yesterday and a little glas. So boiled room temperature water. No problems at all. I've used Liquid Leather, Budding Romance and First Mate, all from China Glaze.
And I've watched a million youtube videos.

31DC2013 Day 18: Half moons

Jag vet att klockan är över 12 men jag är hemma hos Jennie Lee, min bästis, och hon bor mitt i skogen på landet utan täckning och internet. Så jag har kopplat upp min dator till min iphone och hoppas på det bästa. Förhoppningsvis går det att ladda upp!
Idag är utmaningen halvmånar och jag har lånat lack av Jennie Lee!

Det tog säkert en halvtimma att ladda upp bilderna. Varför är det så att man har massor av bra bilder när man inte har internet? Det undrar jag! Bilderna är tagna under Jennie Lees spislampa.
De två lack jag lånat är Bogotá Blackberry och Stay The Night, båda från OPI. Jag började med två lager Bogotá Blackberry som är ett fantastiskt vackert rött skimmer lack. Jag ska köpa mig en egen flaska, för jag gillar det faktiskt!
Sen tog jag en nail art pensel och markerade med Stay The Night där jag ville att halvmånarna skulle börja. Och så målade jag ett lager Stay The Night, som är ett svart Liquid Sand med rödaktigt glitter. Jag är sjukt nöjd. Känner mig jättesexig!



I know that the clock is over midnight, but I'm visiting Jennie Lee, my bestie, and she lives in the woods on the countryside without connection or internet. So I've connected my laptop to my iphone and hopes for the best. Hopefully I will get this published.
Todays challenge is half moons and I've borrowed polishes from Jennie Lee.

It surely took half an hour to upload the pictures. Why do I need to take so many good pictures when I don't have internet to upload them? The pictures are under Jennie Lees stove lamp.
The two polishes I've borrowed is Bogotá Blackberry and Stay The Night, both by OPI. I've started with two coats of Bogotá Blackberry which is a beautiful red shimmer polish. I'm going to buy my own bottle, 'cause I really like it!
Then I took a nail art brush and marked with Stay The Night where I wanted the half moons to start. Then I appied one coat of Stay The Night, which is a black Liquid Sand with red-ish glitter. I'm really happy with this. I feel supersexy!

31DC2013 Day 15: Delicate Print - Ugly lace

Jag är sjuk. Så jag orkar inte skriva. Här får ni se dåliga bilder på en ful manikyr. Temat för Nail Art Söndag är spets och dagens utmaning är Delicate Print.

Jag har använt Depend 230 och Nordic Cap NP12. Jag har freehandat allt, och det blev inte alls som jag ville. Inte nöjd, men jag orkar inte göra om. Nu ska jag dricka te. Heeejdåå!


I'm sick. So I don't have the energy to write. Here you have some bad pictures of an ugly manicure. The theme for Nail Art Sunday is lace and todays challenge is Delicate Print. 

I've used Depend 230 and Nordic Cap NP12. I've freehanded it all, and it didn't turn out as I wanted. Not happy, but I don't have the energy to start over. I'm going to drink some tea now. Byyyeee!

31DC2013 Day 12: Stripes - Neon and black

Dag 12. Tolv dagar i rad har jag bloggat nu. Jag känner mig så himla duktig! Det är svårt att hinna med. Jag är sjukt stressad, ganska ofta, men det är värt det! Det är ju trots allt en utmaning, och utmaningar ska vara svåra.
Idag tittar vi på randiga naglar!

Neon är så svårt att fånga på bild. Men ni som vet hur Orly Glowstick och Melt Your Popsicle ser ut kan kanske föreställa er hur neonig gradienten är. Jag började alltså med att göra en gradient över vitt. Därefter tejpade jag med stripingtejp och lackade Nordic Cap NP12 över. Bort med tejp och topplacka.
Enkelt, och snyggt som fasen!


Day 12. I've posted twelve days in a row. It feels so damn good! It is hard to keep up. I'm stressed up most of the time, but it's worth it! After all it is a challenge, and challenges are supposed to be hard.
Today we're watching striped nails!

Neon is so hard to photograph. But if you know how Orly Glowstick and Melt Your Popsicle looks you might be able to imagine how neon-ish the gradient is. I started with the gradient over white. Then I taped the lines with striping tape and painted a coat of Nordic Cap NP12 on top. Take off the tape and topcoat.
Easy and so damn pretty!
